Cons

SPOT is a centre that offers a wide variety of therapy for children. Its services include physiotherapy, clinical psychology, and speech therapy in Hong Kong.
One of the things we like about SPOT is its team of speech therapists. SPOT has a roster of 8 therapists with years of experience and training in Hong Kong and abroad.
We also appreciate the centre for making their therapists’ information accessible online. We believe this helps clients know SPOT’s staff better, allowing them to trust them more during the therapy.
Another strength of SPOT is its numerous clinics. The centre has a location in Central, South Island, Discovery Bay, and Kowloon Bay, making their services accessible wherever you may be in Hong Kong.
In addition, the branches are open for long hours six days a week, which is a plus for accessibility.
We also like the range of the therapists’ expertise. They offer multiple approaches to speech therapy and, through assessment, match the one that would best help you and your child.
We found the therapists to be friendly and patient. Other customers we talked to praised the professionals for being amicable and good with their kids.
However, we did some reports that sometimes, the front desk and customer service delay in responding to queries.
Overall, we believe that SPOT is the perfect match for those looking for a wide range of therapy approaches and accessible clinics.

Pros
- Two locations
- Highly experienced therapists
- Allows for group and individual speech therapy
Cons
- By appointment only
Sprout in Motion is a centre composed of child psychologists, counsellors, and speech therapists in Hong Kong. Together, they provide assessments and a variety of services.
One of the things we like about Sprout in Motion is its multiple locations. The centre has two clinics: one in Central and another in Wong Chuk Hang.
These locations are highly accessible, and the centre left instructions to make it easier for clients to find them.
We also appreciate how warm and welcoming the clinics are, making it easier for children and families to feel at ease.
Another thing we like about Sprout in Motion is its team of therapists. The clinic has a roster of four therapists, with all having experience working with children locally and abroad.
The therapists conduct a variety of speech services, including individual or group therapy, depending on your child’s needs. They also change their approach based on the child’s age, with parents getting involved with younger children’s therapy to spur their growth.
The only disadvantage we found with Sprout in Motion is its operating hours. You can only visit the clinic if you have an appointment, and they are open only from Tuesdays to Saturdays.
Regardless, we believe that Sprout in Motion is a great choice for those looking for friendly therapists in warm, welcoming clinics.

Pros
- Open six days a week
- Warm and spacious rooms
Cons
- Relatively short operating hours
Talk in Action is a family-run clinic offering counselling, parenting guidance, and speech therapy in Hong Kong. The clinic is spearheaded by Dr Ying and Zara Kan.
One of the clinic’s strengths is its trained professionals. Dr Ying and Zara have trained in Hong Kong and overseas, with years of experience working with children and families.
Zara Kan is the speech therapist at the clinic. Having studied in the UK, she has learned a variety of approaches to speech therapy, allowing her to pick the one that is suited best for your child’s needs.
We also like the clinic’s spacious venue. Talk in Action has warm and welcoming rooms with numerous toys and activities that can help put children at ease.
The clinic also has two cats that could help provide positive engagement to children and their families.
In our opinion, the only downside of Talk in Action is it has relatively short opening hours. However, they are open from Monday to Saturday, which helps alleviate some inconvenience.
Our experience with Talk in Action is pleasant. We found the therapists to be kind and friendly, and other customers we talked to praised them for being dedicated, calm, caring, and professional.

Pros
- Transparent with pricing
- In operation since 1976
- Relatively long opening hours
Cons
- Limited speech therapy methods
The Child Development Centre was established in 1976 and has since worked with numerous counsellors and speech therapists in Hong Kong.
Aside from the centre’s years of experience, another thing we like is its team of professionals. The centre has four speech therapists, and all of them have local and international training and experience.
Together, these professionals offer 1-on-1 therapy sessions with children at the cost of $1,000 per 45-minute session. We appreciate the centre’s affordable therapy sessions but also their transparency with their pricing.
However, we believe that these services are limited when compared to other clinics. The smaller scope of therapy approaches may not be ideal for some children, especially if you would prefer small group sessions.
Another strength of the Child Development Centre is its long operating hours. The centre is open six days a week for over nine hours per day, even on weekends, which is a plus for accessibility.
During our visit, we found the therapists to be patient and kind. The other customers we talked to also praised the therapists and the centre for being warm and welcoming.
Overall, we believe that the Child Development Centre is the perfect match for those who prefer an affordable 1-on-1 speech therapy session for their kids.

Pros
- Works with children and teens
- Highly experienced therapist
Cons
- Therapy is in French only
Stanley Wellness is a clinic that offers a variety of physical and mental health services in Hong Kong. Since its establishment in 2013, the clinic has been providing locals and foreigners alike with healthcare that matches their individual needs.
We believe that one of Stanley Wellness’s strengths when it comes to its speech therapy service is its practitioner, Lise Lombart.
Ms Lombart is a specialist in diagnosing and remediating language delays, phonological disorders, and other impairments. She had her master’s degree in Paris and worked in New York before moving to Hong Kong.
However, her services are only in French, making her the perfect match only for French-speaking people residing in the region.
Another strength of Stanley Wellness comes from its range of services. Unlike other clinics and speech therapists in Hong Kong, Stanley Wellness provides these services to all ages, albeit primarily to kids and teens.
Based on our experience, we found the clinic’s staff and therapists to be friendly and professional. We also appreciate the cleanliness of their offices.
Overall, we believe that Stanley Wellness is the perfect match for expatriates and foreign nationals looking for a French-speaking speech therapist in Hong Kong.
