Pros

  • In operation since 1986
  • Wide range of programs
  • Puts information of coaches on website

Cons

  • Coaches vary by location

Tennis Asia is a company that works with tennis professionals and tennis coaches in Hong Kong. Established in 1986, the company seems to have developed advantages that distinguish them from others.

One of the things we like about Tennis Asia is its roster of coaches and professionals. With multiple experienced coaches in different locations over Hong Kong, you can get quality training wherever you are in the region.

You can also see the coaches’ backgrounds and information on their website, which is a plus.

However, we believe it is important to note that these coaches and professionals operate in their specific locations. This distinction means a coach you like in Victoria Park may not be available anywhere else.

Another thing we like about Tennis Asia is their services. The company and its coaches can train youth and adults, regardless of whether they wish to play tennis casually or competitively.

You can choose your own path based on their programs, and you will get the support and practice you need, especially if you wish to become a professional player.

You can get Tennis Asia’s services both in public parks or in private clubs, wherever you wish to practise.

You can also participate in events that the company hosts to know your peers better and test your skills.

Overall, we believe that Tennis Asia is a great match for both casual players wishing to impress their friends or competitive players that wish to train for tournaments.

Pros

  • Transparent with pricing
  • Offers pre-work and lunchtime training
  • Works with kids as young as 3 years old

Cons

  • Lessons are only in English and French

Olympic Tennis is a company of trainers and tennis coaches in Hong Kong. Although their services are only available in English and French, we believe they have strengths that make them worth considering.

One of Olympic Tennis’s advantages is its affordable pricing. Private hourly lessons cost $800, while group lessons may cost you only $300.

Another thing we like is the company’s programs. The coaches teach players of any age, starting from age three onwards.

Based on our experience and the stories told by Olympic Tennis’s customers, the company’s coaches are patient and professional and connect easily with children, making the sessions fun for clients of all ages, expertise, and backgrounds.

Olympic Tennis also offers pre-work and lunchtime training, as well as holiday camps, which is a plus.

Another strength of Olympic Tennis comes in its head coach, Timothee Lux. He started playing at the age of six and won numerous tournaments in France.

We appreciate Olympic Tennis’s transparency, especially when it comes to its pricing, program inclusions, and coach information. We believe it helps customers make more informed decisions and makes trusting the company a lot easier.

We also appreciate how you can book lessons in the privacy of your own home if you have a court and equipment. If you prefer to play in public spaces, you can get Olympic Tennis’s services in Victoria Park, the Hong Kong Tennis Centre, and Causeway Bay Sports Grounds.

Pros

  • Offers a free trial session
  • Has 24/7 assistance service
  • Adjusts to different learning styles

Cons

  • Offers only children’s training

Teeny Tennis Sports Academy is a school that employs tennis coaches in Hong Kong. As its name suggests, the academy primarily caters to children.

Teeny Tennis’s clientele is composed of children five years old and above.

One of the things we like about Teeny Tennis is the way they adapt their teaching methods to their client’s needs and learning styles, sometimes even using photographs and other items to explain concepts and encourage kids.

We believe this makes each class more interesting and motivates kids to become interested in sports and physical activity.

Based on our experience, the tennis coaches and trainers were very professional. Other clients we interviewed told us that the teachers were very patient regardless of age, which is a plus.

Another thing we like about Teeny Tennis is their service. The school offers 24/7 assistance, answering your queries whenever they may arise.

They also have a free trial class, which could help you decide if you wish to continue training with them without obligating you.

Overall, we believe that Teeny Tennis is a splendid match for children and teenagers who wish to learn the sport in a fun and engaging way.

Pros

  • Transparent with fees
  • Has a large roster of trainers and coaches
  • In operation since 1909

Cons

  • Services may be more expensive for non-members

The Hong Kong Tennis Association is a non-profit organised in 1909 by sports enthusiasts. Now, it’s one of the largest associations in the region, composed of casual tennis players and tennis coaches in Hong Kong.

One of the things we like about the Hong Kong Tennis Association is its number of coaches. Through its websites, you can get in contact with dozens of coaches with varying levels of expertise and certifications.

You can also participate in the association’s various programs, including Tennis for All, a budget-priced course done in 2 hours weekly.

You can also get private coaching and performance training services if you wish to be a more competitive and professional player.

We also like how affordable the fees are for the coaches’ services. The cost of training and coaching varies depending on the ratio of students to coaches, the coach’s expertise, association membership status, and the number of hours you intend to train.

Our experience with the coaches has been pleasant, and they were pleasant throughout the activity.

As such, we believe that the Hong Kong Tennis Association is a great place for people of all skill levels looking for a variety of coaching services.

Pros

  • Luxurious fields and facilities
  • Highly accessible location
  • Highly experienced trainers

Cons

  • Hefty price for membership

The Hong Kong Golf and Tennis Academy is a luxurious club that offers training in golf, tennis, swimming, and general fitness.

One of the Hong Kong Golf and Tennis Academy’s primary strengths is its facilities. The academy has state-of-the-art and elegant facilities conducive to professional-level training.

HKGTA has seven outdoor fields and multiple mini-tennis courts, allowing its members to train rain or shine.

There are also food and drinks available within the club, so you can get refreshments after an exhausting practice session.

Another thing we liked is how accessible the location is. Despite being in the countryside, the HKGTA’s facilities are accessible via public transport.

Another noteworthy advantage of the Hong Kong Golf and Tennis Academy is that it partners with the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre.

This centre is where club members can get professional-level coaching, where trainers immerse beginners and professionals alike can train under the same methods used by competitive players.

Based on our experience, the training is enjoyable and helpful, and the venue is beautiful and first-class. However, the primary issue you will encounter will be the hefty membership price you have to pay before you access the club’s services.

If you have the budget to pay for the membership fees, then you are sure to have all the training and equipment you would need if you wish to quickly improve your skills.
