If only my dog could talk, I know he’d curse me for every moment I didn’t give him my steak sandwich. Oh well, sometimes I come first!

Fortunately, with the rise of so many dog-friendly restaurants in Hong Kong, I can now either get him his own meal or pack his treats so he can happily eat with me. If you’re looking for similar places for your doggo, then you’ll find this list of our faves helpful. Check it out!

Sip Song

The Pulse at Repulse Bay has loads of pet-friendly spots for a beachfront mall, but this Thai eatery is definitely a standout. It even has its own menu just for dogs. 

While you chow down on spicy satays, yummy papaya salad, and grilled fish with lime chili, your furry friend can dig into special rice bowls and peanut butter biscuits. 

They’re super cool with dogs here – they even feature some on their Instagram Stories or under #DogsofSipSong (remember to tag them when you drop by with your pup!)

With its colorful spot on the boardwalk, awesome cocktails, and views of the waves, Sip Song is the perfect spot to chill out with your pet on a lazy weekend. Just keep in mind, though, that pets are only allowed on the outdoor tables, so it’s not ideal for big groups or rainy days.

Feeling like taking your furry buddy on a holiday outing? Swing by An Choi, a cozy Vietnamese spot in Sheung Wan that’ll give you those roadside diner vibes from Vietnam.

Picture lemon-yellow walls, twinkling fairy lights, and comfy red chairs. Plus, their happy hour is a real treat. Even though they don’t have a fancy menu for pets, your furball is totally welcome to chill while you munch on fresh banh mis and slurp up noodle bowls. 

And if you’re all about the veggie options, no worries – you’ll find jackfruit as a meat alternative sprinkled throughout the menu.

At Tai Hang’s newest pet-friendly spot, you can grab a coffee with your four-legged buddy. This place doubles as a cafe and a pet groomer, so customers can hang out with their furry pals or relax while their fur baby gets pampered. 

When it comes to food, Bogu serves up tasty dishes like toast loaded with garlic prawns and hearty breakfast pasta with grilled chicken thighs in tomato and potato soup. 

But the real draw? The desserts! Bogu sells chubby macarons, or “fatcarons,” in flavors like black sesame, milk cap with raspberry sauce, and peanut butter with condensed milk – all decorated to look like cute puppies!

As for your furry friends, there isn’t an extensive menu for them, but don’t worry. While they’re enjoying their grooming session, you can rest assured they’ll be treated to dog-friendly treats or biscuits.

Located underneath the Mid-Levels Escalator, Barkada is a beloved hangout spot for local pet owners. If you’ve never tried Filipino grub, this is your spot!

Must-haves include the addictive adobo popcorn chicken, sizzling sisig, and the massive crispy pata for sharing. Additionally, there’s a diverse selection of vegetarian options available. 

But for pet owners, the real delight is Barkada’s occasional Block Pawty, featuring bar snacks and cocktails for humans, and longanisa-inspired sausage treats for dogs. 

Just a heads-up, reservations are required, and unfortunately, they don’t have an outdoor patio. But hey, that means your pets are more than welcome to join you inside.

Woof Magic

West Kowloon Art Park is becoming known as a pet-friendly hangout, and Hooman by the Sea plays a big part in that. With spacious green lawns for your pet to roam on, this café is a go-to for pet owners craving some chill time to eat. 

However, if you want to chow down with your furry buddy, you can choose their outdoor seating area.

Now, if you’re a dog lover, you’re going to love this place. They specialize in hotdogs named after different dog breeds. 

Try the classic chihuahua with mustard, cheese, ketchup, and bacon bits. Or get adventurous with the golden retriever – a seafood tempura dog with crispy garlic and corn salsa!

Each hotdog order is priced between $68 and $78. For an additional $28, you can upgrade to fries, sweet potato fries, or potato salad.

As a bonus, the café’s doughnut-crowned milkshakes are sure to light up your social media, as will the stunning view of Victoria Harbour.

Their menu changes often, but some must-tries include the hojicha roll cake, the meringue lemon tart, and the carrot cake with cream cheese and butter frosting.

They serve a wide selection of coffee, both hot and iced, alongside Asian comfort food, house-baked pastries, and ice cream sandwiches. But for fur parents, their special “Furries Munchies” menu makes it the perfect brunch spot.

Little Break Coffee & Kitchen lives up to its name, offering a perfect spot for a relaxing break. This cafe is situated in one of Hong Kong’s pet-friendly shopping malls, D2 Place, making it a great destination for a lazy or rainy day with the pup.

The whole place is incredibly spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. You can have your pet join you for dining in any part of the cafe you prefer.

Here, you’ll find quirky twists on your favorite Western dishes, like “Ham So Excited,” which is a pancake burger with slices of gammon ham, Cheddar cheese, eggs, bacon, and maple syrup.

Or you can try the double-cheese Wagyu beef waffle sandwich. For your pets, feel free to bring your own treats or biscuits for them to enjoy.

But what really sets Wistons Coffee apart is the food. They offer delicious sandwiches, muffins, buns, and sausage rolls. And they have a variety of cookies for your furry friend!

The staff provides excellent customer service as well. They’re even known to give pets a friendly pat (with your consent, of course), creating a welcoming environment for you and your pet.

Wonder Garden Cafe

Of course, it’s pet-friendly! They’re always happy to welcome pups, and there are plenty of fun photo opportunities with the Wonderland characters.

While they do serve main courses, you can’t miss out on their Mad Hatter’s tea party! Order one of their afternoon tea sets ($388 for two people), complete with quirky drinks. Just make sure to call ahead and book a table before you go.
