CDNIS impressed us with its strong academic results. For starters, they have a 96% IB pass rate in recent exams.
We can attribute part of their success to their professionally qualified teaching faculty. Most of them hold postgraduate degrees, emphasizing continuous learning.
When speaking to parents, most of them said that their teachers “go above and beyond” in support. As for the students, we were pleased to know they constantly look forward to lessons each day.
The school’s overall approach focuses on global citizenship. Student population is diverse, representing over 40 nationalities among over 2,100 students.
We have no issues with their campus as well. Facilities are modern, supporting arts, sports, technology, and language learning.
As with most IB schools, tuition fees and associated costs are high. We wish to see more transparency in financial aid options too.
Getting admitted is also competitive, so long-term academic preparation is advised.

We loved FIS’s two parallel streams for education. One is the French stream, which follows the French national curriculum. The other is the international stream following an English-based curriculum via IGCSE/IB.
One of their biggest advantages is their strong emphasis on multilingual education. Most of the students here gain a strong command of both French and English.
According to most students, they love how supported they feel in every learning stage. The campuses alone are modern, with a strong focus on extracurricular breadth,
For students who want to explore programs beyond academics, this is a major plus.
The overall support and care per student is also tailored. The teaching staff offers just the right attention to assist students in their weak areas.
The only issue we have is that their special education needs (SEN) support is limited in the French stream setting. Pre-requisites may also be too demanding for most students and families.
At least, it’s an institution with one of the most competitive fees we’ve encountered for an IB school.
3. Singapore International School

SISHK offers a through-train Singapore-style education system. They combine Singapore’s curriculum with the IB framework to ensure global perspective and bilingual proficiency.
Beyond this, we also like their bilingual program. It gives students a strong language foundation in English and Chinese.
With an average IB score of 40, the school is far above the global average (30.58 in 2025). On top of that, 79.9% of their IGCSE results were graded A.
Simply put, the numbers really speak for the quality of education they offer.
On top of that, the university placement record is exceptional. Their graduates have been to top-tier institutions, including Oxford, Cambridge, Yale, and NUS.
Diversity, though not the strongest among this list, is still solid. They have over 1,800 students from more than 20 nationalities.
When compared to other IB schools, tuition is pretty steep, so it’s not the most accessible. There’s also limited availability too, due to high demand for placements.
4. German Swiss International School

GSIS has built a strong reputation since 1969. They offer a dual-language education that combines the German International Abitur (DIA) and IB (both are globally recognized qualifications).
We liked that the school offers 2 parallel streams: the German International Stream (GIS) and the English International Stream (EIS).
Admission for the English stream is quite competitive, though. It may demand high expectations from kids, which can be rigorous to meet and prepare for.
Students get to improve their language proficiency, as education is delivered in German and English from kindergarten to secondary levels.
The great part is that there are options for additional instruction in Mandarin, Latin, and French.
The curriculum covers arts, music, and drama. However, it’s their sports program that got our attention. This one is broad, covering activities like fencing, gymnastics, and football. Even tennis and cricket are available.
Inclusivity and diversity are also pretty evident, with the student body representing over 27 nationalities.
If there may be an issue, it’s likely with transportation, as options to the Peak campus are limited.

Harrow International School is the only British International boarding and day school in Hong Kong. Established in 2012, the school has quickly gained a reputation for academic excellence.
We love its Gold Coast campus as it provides a serene environment with modern facilities. Amenities on campus support academics, boarding life, sports, and the arts.
As for academics, the school follows the British curriculum, leading to IGCSE and A-level qualifications.
But what we found more valuable is its strong emphasis on character development and leadership. Students are encouraged to value courage, honor, and humility in their student life.
The school’s university counseling program is robust. Their graduates gain entry to world-class institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, and other Ivy League universities.
The important thing to take note of, though, is that tuition and boarding fees are among the highest in Hong Kong. The Gold Coast campus location may also be less convenient for families living in central districts.
