The team has impressive expertise in smart home technology. They’re able to add automated lighting, climate control, and multimedia setups into the layout without compromising the design.

Their portfolio also shows they can handle different types of projects. Their commercial spaces look just as polished as their residential ones, which is not always easy to pull off.

However, budget might be a concern since their focus on high-end interiors usually means a higher cost.

What we liked about B Squared Design is that their work feels practical while still stylish. The layouts are easy to live in.

In some of their projects, we noticed new design elements blended naturally with existing furniture. This makes the spaces feel cohesive without trying too hard.

Their take on “livable luxury” actually makes sense in practice. Kitchens, storage, and layouts aren’t just stylish. They make moving around and using the space easier.

Britta Butler, the founder, brings her Harvard and MIT training into each project. Her impressive background is very evident in the attention to detail she puts into every project.

We liked that B Squared Design handles everything from concept to construction. They seem to really think about how all the pieces fit together. 

We also appreciate that they make an effort to use sustainable materials. It’s not over the top, but it shows they’re thinking about long-term impact as part of the design.

The team is relatively small, so turnaround for larger projects is typically longer than that of other firms. Handling several projects at once is also more challenging.

In 2017 we moved into a, barely, 4 bedroom duplex at The Manhattan in Hong Kong.  We needed an office space.  Many HK apartments have odd layouts and finding furniture that fits perfectly is difficult.  We had an idea of the design for our small 4th bedroom that needed to acomódate my husband in the evenings and weekends, and me during the weekdays. That said, we heard their resource allocation can be a challenge. Taking on multiple large-scale projects at the same time might stretch the team and affect timelines.
