5 Best Sauna Spots in Hong Kong to Sweat Your Stress Away

  • Heat Quality and Temperature Control: Proper heat intensity determines whether you actually sweat out tension or just sit in lukewarm air.

We compared the types of heat each venue offers and checked temperature ranges where they were available.

  • Cold Plunge and Recovery Amenities: Not every sauna comes with an ice bath. We looked at which places offer hot-and-cold contrast sessions and which provide other options, like steam rooms or hands-on recovery treatments.
  • Pricing Transparency and Session Length: Nobody likes hidden facility fees or rushing through a shower before the clock runs out.

We compared available rates, pass durations, and package terms to get a clearer picture of what each visit includes.

  • Facility Comfort and Amenities: Clean showers, fresh towels, and tidy changing areas make or break a post-sweat routine.

We compared the practical amenities each location offers, including showers, changing facilities, and provided gear.

Between packed MTR rides and endless workdays, Hong Kong can leave you feeling thoroughly steamed. Luckily, the right sauna lets you sweat out the day’s frustrations without another crowded commute.

While massage places offer a relaxing escape, sometimes you just want to turn up the heat. From traditional saunas to infrared sessions, there’s plenty to explore beyond the usual spa routine.

We’ve rounded up several of Hong Kong’s best saunas to help you find your happy place in the heat!

Some like it hot, but ASAP takes things deliciously further. Tucked away in Central, this wellness retreat pairs traditional Finnish sauna rituals with invigorating cold plunges.

First, settle into the spacious communal sauna, heated to a glorious 85–95°C. Then take the plunge in one of five individual tubs chilled to a bracing 5–10°C.

We love the HK$399 Single Dip pass, which offers an unhurried escape from Hong Kong’s frantic pace. You can alternate between soothing heat and icy dips without rushing through the experience.

Better yet, there’s no need to lug around your entire bathroom cabinet. Towels, swimwear, private changing stalls, and showers make arriving and freshening up a breeze.

“The sauna is very big and coed”

Beautiful sanctuary right in the heart of Central. The space was thoughtfully designed to promote a sense of community around wellness. The sauna is very big and coed, which provides a rare chance to relax with your friends. The lounge has a nice selection of drinks, delicious smoothies and ceremonial-grade matchas. What set this sauna apart was also the essential oil snowballs that are dropped on the coals periodically, releasing an extra dimension of relaxation. Looking forward to my next visit!!

“30 min in the infrared sauna to relax my muscles”

My first time trying EMS training, and it was a fun experience! I did 20min of EMS, then about 30 min in the infrared sauna to relax my muscles (felt sooo calming). It’s cool how instead of spending hours at the gym, you can get a full-body workout in 20min with EMS. Also, I noticed my skin was glowing after finishing this session too! Would recommend to those who want to challenge themselves~

“Contrast therapy with the infrared sauna after my workout.”

I tried the EMS training + infrared sauna therapy and had a blast! The training session was so effective I was exhausted the next day. I also loved the contrast therapy with the infrared sauna after my workout. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a time-saving, low-impact, and effective workout in HK!

“All-day pool, sauna and gym access”

The bridal spa package is such a good experience and offers a bang for your buck. The massage itself is extremely relaxing, but you also get snacks, champagne, bachelorette photo props 😉 and all-day pool, sauna and gym access on your day of treatment too. For me personally, the pool was a big highlight – it’s a heated rooftop pool on 41/f with stunning panoramic views of the cityscape.

— Paroma Chatterjee | Google Review

“Our favourite spa in Hong Kong.”

Our favourite spa in Hong Kong. The pool is small but lovely; they have three different gym areas: one for stretching and weights, one for pilates/yoga and one with all the machines. The views are spectacular. The spa itself is great, with a wide range of different treatments, and the masseuses are professional and amicable. My only criticism is that the pool bar is woefully understocked, meaning it’s difficult to get any food! Other than that, it’s expensive but worth it, 9/10 from me!
