Genuinely caring service
The food was exactly what I was looking for – I asked for my dish to be made spicy and the kitchen absolutely delivered. Full of flavour, genuinely spicy, and perfectly executed.
But what truly stood out was the service. The staff were warm and attentive throughout the whole evening – they even noticed my bag was on the floor and kindly let me know. That kind of thoughtfulness and attention to detail is rare these days and really made the experience special.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Thai food and genuinely caring service. I will definitely be back!

Hours: Daily: noon to 3:30 PM and 6 PM to 11 PM
Chachawan brings the heat to Sheung Wan with bold, smoky Isaan cooking from northeastern Thailand. Think fiery salads, tangy dressings, and charcoal-grilled goodness that doesn’t hold back on flavour.
The 24-hour-marinated grilled chicken is a tempting place to start. For seafood lovers, there’s salt-crusted seabass, cooked whole for a proper centrepiece.
Then come the punchy Thai salads, bursting with chilli, lime, and fresh herbs. We love that the sharing-style menu gives everyone a chance to dig into different dishes!
To keep things lively, the restaurant pairs its fiery food with Asian-inspired cocktails. Plus, the bustling Hollywood Road setting makes it a fun spot for a proper Thai feast with friends.

The kitchen also takes a break between 3:30 PM and 6 PM, so take that into consideration when planning your visit.

Such a good spot for Thai food in Hong Kong
Chachawan is such a good spot for Thai food in Hong Kong when you want something vibrant, flavourful, and genuinely memorable. Everything we had was delicious, with that perfect balance of freshness, spice, and richness that makes a meal feel exciting from start to finish.
The standout for me, though, has to be the crab fried rice. It’s the kind of dish that may sound simple on paper, but once it arrives, you remember exactly why it deserves all the attention. Light, fragrant, and full of flavour, it’s the one thing I would not order here…

Absolutely humbled by how good it was
Went to Chachawan last night for Thai food and got absolutely humbled by how good it was!
The vibe is perfect, casual, unpretentious. Just good food, good company, cold beer on tap, everyone happy. Exactly how eating should be!
Service was great as well, efficient, friendly, didn’t make you feel like you were inconveniencing them by existing.
Would 100% go back. Already thinking about it as I type.

Do dress the part before heading up, though. Tin Lung Heen requires smart-casual attire, with shorts, sleeveless tops, and open-toed shoes off-limits for gentlemen.

The service by Marco was exceptional
Starting off, the service by Marco was exceptional. He gave us really good recommendations and was happy to share the backstory of the dishes and drinks chosen. He even went out of his way to make sure we received half-sized dishes (the prices were halved) as we only had a party of 2 and wanted to try different dishes. All the food we ordered was a 10/10. Would definitely go back.

The perfect final touch
Tried this Thai restaurant in PMQ and we shared their limited-time Summer Fiesta sets ($238 for a starter, main, and dessert) alongside some a la carte dishes.
The Summer Fiesta set offered good value for money, especially the savoury Beef Fried Rice, which was packed with smoky wok hei and loaded with tender beef. From the a la carte add-ons, the smoky Chargrilled Octopus skewers and the exceptionally fragrant Hainanese Chicken oil rice were standouts. Adding a sweet Mango Sticky Rice at the very end was the perfect final touch, leaving us 120% full…

The whole meal felt fresh, thoughtful, and full of great Thai flavours
I had such a lovely experience at this Thai restaurant in Sheung Wan at PMQ—the whole meal felt fresh, thoughtful, and full of great Thai flavours.
One of my favourite starters was the Chargrilled Octopus skewer. It came with clearly distinct octopus legs, paired with small tomato and pineapple pieces that added a bright, juicy sweetness.
Next, the Thai Beef Salad was a standout. I loved that it uses Thai vinegar, which gave the salad a proper tangy kick and really brought the beef and herbs to life. It was zesty without being harsh…

Still a Favourite After Three Visits!
*Still a Favourite After Three Visits!*
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was my third time dining here, and I still really enjoy it! The smoked chicken remains a standout—so flavorful and tender. This time, I focused more on their dim sum selection, and I could genuinely taste the care and attention they put into each dish.
Some people have called this a “Western-style” Chinese restaurant, but I completely disagree. Just take a look at the photos—the presentation is more refined, yes, but the flavors are authentic and true to traditional Chinese cuisine…

The best quality value of fine Chinese dining in Hong Kong
The elegant setting in the IFC setting facing the Victoria Harbor is hard to beat. The brunch menu includes lobster, unlimited refined inventive dim sums and the twenty years old Chinese wine glazed abalones was the best quality value of fine Chinese dinning in Hong Kong.
