FM Voice Studio offers more than just understanding voice properly. Its lessons also make sure the voice survives a long-term singing career.

The studio is led by Francesco Mecorio. He’s an internationally recognised Estill mentor, a certified Vocal First Aider, and has taught at major institutions. 

In short, he knows how to keep voices healthy under pressure. 

There’s also a lot of praise for his teaching style. It’s very detailed, but still fun and encouraging. Students often mention finally understanding what their muscles are doing when they sing.

One person said that learning different voice qualities helped them switch between styles much more easily. It’s useful for those who sing musical theatre, K-pop, or anything demanding.

Francesco’s also quick at spotting bad vocal habits. Usually, he would even fix them in a very short time.

The fact that lessons are also available in multiple languages (English, Italian, Mandarin, etc.) makes them more accessible.

However, pricing is another thing to consider since it’s on the pricier side. Most students seem to agree that the quality of the lessons is well worth the price.

Sing and You Music Center is built for singers who want progress. It’s led by Dr Steve Tam, and his influence is everywhere.

He’s very involved, especially at the beginning. He offers a trial lesson that’s more like a proper vocal check-in. This is where strengths, weaknesses, and potential are mapped out clearly.

From there, students are matched with coaches who actually fit their voice and goals. Parents actually loved this since their kids aren’t just randomly assigned a teacher.

They do well in structure too. Their Triangle Vocal Development Plan gives students a clear direction.

Students move through exams and competitions. The coaching style is also performance-leaning. Students are encouraged to take part in choirs, competitions, and mall performances. 

Families with ambitious kids love this part. The exposure and real-world experience are something many singing coaches don’t offer.

That said, this approach isn’t for everyone. The pace can feel intense, especially for those who just want singing to be a fun hobby. 

There’s an expectation to practise, improve, and aim for something, which can be overwhelming for some.

Aspire Music School is a breath of fresh air compared to the usual exam-obsessed singing schools. 

Instead, the focus here is on finding and developing each singer’s unique voice. We loved how the lessons are tailored around songs students actually enjoy.

From pop to soul, rock to musical theatre, Aspire encourages singers to explore different styles and emotions. It’s actually helpful in building confidence and versatility along the way.

For their technique, they focus on pain-free singing. They blend low and high registers smoothly and work on full-range control without boring breath-focused drills.

Students said they ended up learning to express themselves, convey different moods, and perform with real finesse.

The school has a supportive vibe that works well for kids and adults alike. Students of all ages seem to have the freedom to explore their musicality here.

Where Aspire isn’t the best fit is for those chasing formal qualifications or exam certificates. 

Here, the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) or Trinity exams aren’t a focus.

Agnes Chu Vocal Studio has a lot to offer. Agnes offers one-on-one lessons and small-group classes. She can even help with recording sessions for exams, competitions, or performances.

What makes this studio stand out is the space itself. There’s lots of room to breathe, on-site lavatories, and dedicated areas for music events.

Not every vocal coach in Hong Kong can brag about that. So she already has a leg up on anyone who hates squeezing into tiny studios. 

With a dipABRSM in Voice and a shelf full of awards and scholarships, Agnes has clearly that credentials. She’s also done choir conducting and integrates that into her teaching.

We loved this since the students will also learn how to really understand music, phrasing, and performance.

The syllabus she follows is from ABRSM, so the training is structured. Still, it’s flexible enough to explore all kinds of musical styles.

The group classes aren’t only fun but also wallet-friendly. She offers discounts for two, three, and four students joining together.

However, this might not be the perfect fit for those primarily interested in contemporary pop singing. Agnes is strongest in classical, choir, and theatre vocal training.

They offer private lessons both in-person and online. They do singing, performance coaching, vocal training, and even music production.

Lessons are split by age, with shorter sessions for kids and longer ones for older students. 

Their Six-Step Method is a strength. It takes what can be complicated vocal techniques and breaks them down into simple steps. It focuses on improving power, ease, and long-term vocal health.

They also combine Western mainstream methods with approaches adapted for Asia-Pacific artists. 

This makes them especially good for recording artists, performers, or anyone with a tight schedule who needs fast, effective results.

Based on the students, they felt a noticeable improvement in a short time, thanks to lessons tailored to their needs.

We’ve also heard they use mental imagery and physical movement to correct singing issues. This helps especially with high notes and performance readiness.

Just remember that even with trial discounts and bundle deals, their prices are still on the premium side.
