Pros

  • Open daily
  • Wide variety of dog training services

Cons

  • Relatively expensive

Hong Kong Canine offers a variety of dog training in Hong Kong, which focuses primarily on creating a harmonious relationship between the pet and the owner.

One of Hong Kong Canine’s strengths is its trainer, James Leung. James got his certificates in the US and mastered a variety of dog training concepts.

James’ training allows him to perform numerous services, from obedience training and behaviour modification to search and rescue and police K9 training.

Another thing we like about Hong Kong Canine is that its services allow for both individual and group training, giving the owners a choice on which to pursue depending on how comfortable they are with their pet socializing.

However, it is crucial to note that the trainer’s prices are relatively high. Hong Kong Canine’s rate is $1,300 per hour of training.

However, they do offer packages that make it more affordable. A seven-lesson package would cost around $7,680, while a group package would cost $6,560 for six lessons.

We had the chance to talk to Hong Kong Canine’s previous clients, and they praised James for explaining behaviour in detail, how to handle and change unwanted habits, and how much improvement their dogs had in just six lessons.

As such, we believe that Hong Kong Canine’s numerous dog training options, skilled trainer, and daily operation makes it a wonderful choice to consider if you’re looking for highly effective dog training in Hong Kong.

Pros

  • Open daily
  • Offers private training in the resort or at home

Cons

  • Owners cannot visit at all times

Petworld Resort is a place where you can leave your dog for long periods at the hands of pet-loving people.

Although it serves more like a kennel or a resort for your pet, Petworld Resort does offer training services.

One of the things we like about Petworld is that they offer basic and behaviour training. In just around 4 to 6 weeks, you can see an improvement in your pet’s ability to follow basic commands like sit, stay, and drop it.

We also like how the resort offers a custom training program, which will emphasize correcting the bad habits and behaviours of your pet. Petworld can also provide private training with you on their premises or in the comfort of your own home.

The resort is open daily, but visiting hours only start around the afternoon. However, you should not worry too much about your fur baby, as Petworld will send you daily photos and video updates.

We had the chance to talk to other Petworld clients, and they praised the resort for its cleanliness and their dog’s improvement. Sadly, some reports say there are Petworld employees who were rude to owners dropping off their pets.

Regardless, we believe that Petworld is a good place to have your dog trained while you go on crucial business trips or once-in-a-while vacations.

Pros

  • Dog training times are flexible
  • Affordable training services

Cons

  • Dog training services focus primarily on basics

Pet Sitting Diary is a business established in 2016 by two people named Sam and Angela. Although their primary work is offering pet sitting and walking services, they also provide dog training.

Pet Sitting Diary offers three kinds of training: a puppy training course, dog obedience, and behaviour correction training. We like how these services encompass the basic needs of both the pet and the owner.

The puppy training course is for dogs six months old and below, where the business teaches your dog potty training and gives advice to beginner dog owners.

The dog obedience course teaches dogs seven months and older, focusing on proper etiquette, walking, and socialisation.

We also like how these services are relatively more affordable compared to Pet Sitting Diary’s competitors. The business’s service price ranges from $600 – $800 per hour, with the cost varying depending on the amount of effort your dog needs.

Based on our interactions with the business, we found the trainers friendly, caring, and communicative. We talked to Pet Sitting Diary’s previous customers, and they praised the trainers and sitters for their patience and attentiveness.

Overall, we believe that Pet Sitting Diary is the perfect match for those looking for dog training in Hong Kong that’s effective and affordable.

Pros

  • Affordable services
  • Offers private and group lessons

Cons

  • Prices change depending on location

Dogs Inclusive, also known as Dogs Inc, is a business started by Clare Benson. We appreciate Clare for putting all of her certifications on the business’ website, which makes it easier for us and other clients to confirm her credentials and trust her better.

One of the things we like about Dogs Inc is how Clare uses positive reinforcement and easy-to-follow training techniques. In doing so, she makes it intentionally easier for owners to follow up and continue their dogs’ training at home.

We also appreciate how affordable the business’ services are. All of Clare’s dog training services begin at $700 per hour in Sai Kung and Clearwater Bay.

It is essential to note that the farther away the client gets, the higher the minimum price is for training. Clients in Kowloon East and NT East have to pay $800, while those in Hong Kong Island pay a minimum of $880.

Dogs Inc also offers group training services, but the cost varies depending on the kind of training the collective is looking for. Those looking for group classes can expect to pay around $1,900.

Our experience with Dogs Inc was pleasant. The trainer was friendly, patient, and understanding to both us and our pets.

Pros

  • Open daily and on public holidays
  • Affordable training with discounts available
  • Specializes in dealing with rescue dogs

Cons

  • Only one trainer

DogManGoWoof is a business established in 2013 by a trainer named Mark Peters. Since they moved back to the UK, Deb Debes now handles operating everything about the business.

Despite having a sole trainer, DogManGoWoof offers a wide variety of dog training services in Hong Kong, including everything from the basics to more advanced commands and behaviour changes.

Another thing we like about DogManGoWoof is how experienced their trainer is. Deb has a diploma in canine behaviour training, first aid, canine nutrition, and a certificate in pet psychology.

In addition to over a decade of experience, all of these training and certifications are a testament to how qualified Deb is.

Another of DogManGoWoof’s strengths is its affordable training services, which start at around $800 per hour. They also offer a discount if your pet is a rescue dog from a shelter.

We believe that DogManGoWoof is the perfect match for those with rescue dogs because, aside from the discount, Deb has years of experience as a volunteer in a shelter and knows just how to train and interact with them.

We had the chance to talk to the business’ previous customers, and they said they appreciated their honesty and patience. One customer even commended Deb for not pushing any unnecessary training and expenses by telling them outright that they don’t need training yet.

DogManGoWoof’s experienced, honest trainer and affordable service, combined with their long operating hours, rightfully earn the business a spot on our list.
