They also had a decent range of oils, including synthetic options. The staff took the time to explain what would work best for my car. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch, more like advice from people who know engines inside out.

What I didn’t expect was the extra bit of care. They didn’t just swap out the oil and send me off. They gave the fluids, filters, and even my wipers a quick check. That made me feel like they were actually looking out for the car’s overall condition.

The shop itself has a smaller setup compared to bigger chains, but it worked in their favor. It felt more personal since the staff had the time to listen instead of rushing to the next customer.

Their oil change service is simple and efficient. There’s no upselling and unnecessary add-ons.

They use quality lubricants and take the time to check over your engine, making sure everything’s running smoothly before you hit the road.

I liked that the process is organized. The staff are experienced, and you can tell they’ve done plenty of oil changes because everything moves quickly but carefully.

They also give a quick rundown of the car’s overall condition, which is a nice bonus if you want to stay on top of regular maintenance.

On top of that, they offer extra services like four-wheel alignment using Hunter HawkEye technology and suspension checks. This can be handy if your car needs a bit more attention during the visit.

One drawback is the language barrier. Most of the staff speak Cantonese, so if you don’t, it can take some effort to explain your car’s needs or understand their recommendations.

I talked to one of their past customers, and he mentioned that the oil change process is both thorough and efficient. The team uses high-quality lubricants suited to different car models and replaces the oil filter.

I also love that they check fluid levels, belts, and tires while the car is in the shop.

On top of that, the staff takes the time to explain what’s being done, making it easy to follow along with the process.

The shop sits on San Chuk Street in San Po Kong, and from what I’ve seen, it’s easy for local drivers to drop by without much hassle.

I talked to one of their past clients, and they told me the oil change usually takes around 15 minutes. They mentioned that the staff handle the basics efficiently—draining the old oil, replacing the filter, and checking essential engine components.

The labor fees start at HK$100, with extra charges for the selected engine oil. This seems reasonable for the speed and convenience they offer.

From what I can tell, the shop is also set up with convenience in mind. They accept cash, credit cards, and digital wallets.

Their extended operating hours, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM daily, make it easy for anyone with a busy schedule to fit in a quick oil change.

The only drawback is the range of services. LOCK focuses mainly on standard oil changes, so anyone looking for more specialized repairs would probably need to go elsewhere.

A-Cars Workshop has become a reliable spot for oil changes in Hong Kong.

From my experience, their approach feels thorough and practical. When I brought my sister’s car in, the staff took the time to assess the vehicle and recommended the most suitable oil type based on the car model.

They also checked other fluids and filters while the oil was being changed, which gave me confidence that nothing was overlooked.

The mechanics are clearly experienced. I noticed how carefully they handled each step, making sure everything was topped up correctly and even checking for minor issues that could become bigger problems later.

The workshop also offers additional services that I found handy. They provide car washes, detailing, and even EV charging at select locations.

The only thing that could be frustrating is that there’s almost no info online about prices or service specifics. You basically have to call or visit to figure out what they offer, which isn’t ideal if you’re just trying to get a sense of things beforehand. 

Outstanding service, thorough communication

“I went to a garage on Wai Yip Street in Kowloon Bay to wash my car a while ago, but the license plate was “broken” and they said it was my car’s problem. They also said I parked my car in the garage and hindered their business. I couldn’t explain it clearly. I was so angry that I searched online for garages that could make license plates. I found the phone number of Will from A-CARS WORKSHOP. He customized the license plate for me over the phone and Whatsapps that night. So I drove to A-CARS WORKSHOP at 4:00 pm the next day and saw that the new license plate was ready. Master Will was very polite and explained the condition of the car to me carefully (I found that there was an oil leak). I handed the car over to them for processing. Three hours later, the car was delivered on time (the electric door was repaired, the air-conditioning filter was replaced, the water filter was also installed, and the car was disinfected and washed very clean). Although I encountered a garage with poor service the day before, I am grateful that I encountered a garage with good service attitude the next day. Thank you, Master Will and Master Benny, so I especially want to write a review to praise this garage.
