We’re pretty impressed with DANCE@CENTRAL’s background. The studio has been teaching kids and adults for 15 years. It also has instructors who have joined and won world dance competitions, so the skills can’t be questioned.

Class-wise, we like that the studio offers private coaching for adults. You can get personal training if you don’t want to mix with other students. Also, it’s more favourable since you can get undivided attention.

On top of that, they offer flexible plans, making it easy for you to decide based on your budget and availability. They have a starter pack program that lasts for 3 to 6 months. There are also programs that can last up to 24 months, perfect for those who are really taking dance seriously.

It’s also worth mentioning that they’re flexible with the location of their private training. They’ll first take you to their dance studio. But after that, you’re free to choose where you’re more comfortable taking your dance classes—huge plus, especially for those with a hectic schedule.

Instructors are considerate and friendly too. Many students praise their instructors for understanding their skill level and teaching from there. They know how to encourage without overwhelming students.

Overall, we love DANCE@CENTRAL. It’s just that their classes fill up quickly, making it a real challenge to secure a schedule with them.

DANCETRINITY isn’t a huge company with hundreds of instructors, but we’re surprised by the variety of classes they have.

They have almost every style, including Bollywood, salsa, and Burlesque. They also have ballet and Zumba! We love this wide variety because it allows adults with different interests to explore styles under one roof.

Another huge advantage of the studio is its drop-in classes. Not all studio accepts drop-ins, so we’re glad that DANCETRINITY offers an easy way for adults to begin learning dance.

Their classes are very accommodating to different skill levels too. They offer introductory classes (4 weeks) for absolute beginners, as well as more advanced programs for those looking to polish their skills.

Pricing is reasonable. They offer discounts to students under 21. And if you’re coming to class more frequently, they give discount cards that can help make the classes cheaper.

Just note that they only accept cash, especially for their drop-in classes. This could pose an inconvenience for some, as it did for a new student who arrived straight from the airport without any cash on hand.

WDM2 Dance Academy is one we don’t want to miss because of its wide range of unique dance classes for adults. They even offer Chinese Dunhuang dance, which is a rare find.

That’s aside from their zumba, bachata, and contemporary jazz dance classes. Plus, if you’re looking for a sexy chair dance class, they have it here too.

It’s also a huge bonus that they host workshops, which shows how experienced they are in teaching. They know how to handle different types of students and adapt to whatever skill level.

We also like that they both offer group and private classes, letting you choose a more comfortable session.

Their dance instructors are also the type of people with contagious energy and positivity. Students mentioned that they keep the atmosphere light and motivating, especially for beginners who feel like they’re struggling. 

The studio itself is also well-lit with great audio and clean dance rooms.

However, they offer only a limited number of packages, and some of their classes are expensive.

Twinkle Dance Company might sound like a kid-focused dance studio, but we’re here to tell you that it’ not. The studio is very inclusive, especially towards adults who want to stay active.

They offer fun dance and fitness classes to adults, such as ballet and barre sculpt. What’s even more surprising is that they offer silver swan dance classes, ideal for those 55 years old and above. 

Drop-in classes are available at reasonable prices per class. They also have flexible packages (3 to 6 classes), giving students freedom to choose depending on their budget and availability. 

Their dance studio is also something we’d want to go to every week. It’s spotless and safe, with bright and inviting spaces that make you feel comfortable. Plus, the atmosphere is welcoming, regardless of whether you’re a beginner or getting back into dance after years. 

Just one thing to take note of is that they don’t have evening classes. This can be a drawback if you prefer night-time sessions.

Dance for Joy HK caught our attention because of its hands-on owners, Faye and Bill. Both are experienced dancers and instructors who are very hands-on during dance lessons.

This is a big advantage because you get direct guidance from the founders. For us, it also shows how they value their students by giving high-quality instruction.

Aside from the owners, they also have a team of well-experienced and talented dance instructors. Students we talked to shared that their instructors helped them overcome shyness and are very supportive.

It’s also reassuring to know that they have evening classes. This is good news since you can easily fit in your dance classes despite your busy work schedule. 

We just found their classes a bit limited compared to other studios offering adult ballet, Burlesque, and more. They only offer adult jazz funk, hip-hop, and K-pop.

Despite that, the reasonable pricing and comfortable studio more than make up for the limited variety. We also think fans of the genre they offer would love how fun and engaging the classes are.

Great dance studio and team

“Dance for Joy is a place where teachers nurture children’s talent, and more than that– they help their students discover their love for music, dance, and art.

Teachers are professional and loving at the same time. My daughter loves going to class and she adores her teachers.

Administration is well organized. They recently had their ROCK ON Recital Show. From start to finish, the admin staff never failed to give reminders to ensure parents are well informed of photoshoot dates, costume requirements, call time, and rehearsal arrangements. You can see that the children enjoyed their experience on stage.
