10 Pet-Friendly Hotels in Hong Kong Your Pet Will Love As Much As You Do

I once packed half my suitcase with my dog’s toys, treats, and bed, convinced every “pet friendly” hotel in Hong Kong would be ready for him. Instead, his bed ended up wedged between the mini fridge and the bathroom door.

That awkward trip is exactly why I went looking for hotels that genuinely know how to host pets. After much research, I’ve narrowed my list to the ones that would give me and my four-legged guest room to breathe.

If you’re also a fur parent looking to destress with your pet, here are the best pet-friendly hotels in Hong Kong that I found.

Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong

My dog and I checked in for the “Dogcation” at Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour, and it all felt seamless. Our pet-friendly room came with water bowls, a cozy bed, and a few treats to make him feel at home.

The dog-boarding service felt really thoughtful. The Dog Ambassador team checked in often, and it was reassuring to know I could see him through the webcam when I stepped out for a bit.

He also had the best time at the Upper Farm Doggy Playground on the terrace. The highlight, though, was the Doggy Dim Sum Cart during yum cha. He sat right beside me, happily snacking while I had my meal.

Pro tip:

Head up to the dog-friendly terrace in the morning. Your pup gets more space to roam, and you’ll catch some great harbour views before the day heats up.

The Arca

I stayed at The Arca with my pup, and it felt like they really get pet stays. Their petcation package is solid.

The room had water and food bowls ready. But what I really liked was the curated pet menu with safe, hotel-made meals like chicken or salmon with veggies, so my dog could dine just as well as I did.

They’re OK with two pets per room, each up to roughly 25 kg, so it’s cool if you’ve got more than one furball.

There’s even an off-leash area right on the property where your dog can stretch his legs safely.

Pro tip:

Ask for the petcation setup when you book so all the pet supplies are ready right when you arrive.

Le Méridien

What I liked about Le Méridien Cyberport is that they make it easy to stay with pets. They set the room with pet beds, bowls, and cleaning supplies so you don’t have to pack much for your furry travel buddy.

They also add special welcome amenities like treats or small toys and a pet menu made by their own culinary team. And when it’s time to head out, walks are easy with a seaside promenade and quieter streets nearby.

It feels thoughtful without going overboard, which is exactly the balance I like in a pet-friendly stay.

Pro tip:

Ask for a room facing the bamboo garden by Umami so your pet can have a little outdoor stretch right outside your door.

The Figo Hotel

We tried The Figo’s pet-friendly package, and it was great. Our room came with in-room afternoon tea for me and my dog, a pet essentials kit, and we even got to use the “Pawfect Wardrobe” setup to dress him in cute outfits for some fun photos.

It was a fun way to pamper him and capture memories.

The Figo works with Buddy Bites to offer personalized dog food and room amenities, so I knew my pup was well taken care of during our stay.

Additionally, during the summer months, there’s a small doggy pool on the terrace where your pup can cool off and enjoy some playtime.

Pro tip:

To make the most of the “Pawfect Wardrobe” experience, ask about costume availability early in your stay. It’s on a first-come, first-served basis.

If there’s one thing that makes Kimpton memorable, it’s their canine ambassador, the “Director of Pet Relations.” This friendly dog greets and pets alike, giving the hotel an instant sense of warmth.

The hotel goes beyond that too. Each room can host one pet under 15 kg, and they provide pet beds, bowls, and mats so your furry friend can feel at home. Guide dogs and service animals don’t have any limits, which is great to know.

The staff here are super helpful if you need any special arrangements for your pet.

I recently stayed at Dorsett Kai Tak with my dog, and it was nice to experience their “Fur-Ever Friends Getaway” package, which includes a 50% discount on the pet surcharge and made the trip more affordable.

We got a nice surprise with a complimentary upgrade to an Executive Balcony Suite, depending on availability. Plus, a gift set from Buddy Bites that came with a dog bowl, tote bag, and treats.

The room came ready for my dog, complete with bedding, a feeding bowl, and a pee pad. The staff were really helpful, and it seemed like my dog had just as much fun as I did.
