Where is The Peak?
Victoria Peak, or The Peak, is nestled on the western side of Hong Kong Island. With an elevation of over 1,811 feet, it offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, Kowloon, Central, and Lamma Island.

The Peak Road is the spot to explore in The Peak. It’s where the Peak Tower and the upper terminal of the Peak Tram are located.

How to get to The Peak?
Closest bus stop: From Central Station, you can take Bus 15 or Bus X15 and get off at the Peak Galleria. The whole trip may take around 40 minutes, but it’s the cheapest (HKD 9.80) way to reach The Peak.

The Peak or Victoria Peak is the city’s most popular lookout point, and trust me, it lives up to the hype. Once you reach the top, it’s literally views on views. It’s the peak spot for capturing various viewpoints of Victoria Harbour, Kowloon, and Hong Kong Island.
If you start at the Peak Tram Station, just find the Tramway Path opposite it, then start your hike. And don’t worry, the path is well-marked with signs. Even those bad with directions can get by just fine.
To get the most out of your hike, we suggest you save this experience for a clear, sunny day. Sunset from The Peak is also a must-see, so try to time your visit to catch it!

This funicular railway was built ages ago. However, thanks to the recent upgrade, visitors get to ride in brand-new and modernized tramcars.
Aside from the scenic harbor views, you’ll witness an optical illusion that makes skyscrapers seem to be leaning into the track. It can be a little disorienting, but it’s definitely a cool and Instagram-worthy sight.
If you want to avoid the long queues, your best bet is to visit on a weekday morning or late afternoon. And a quick tip: check the weather before you go! You don’t wanna be up there on a cloudy day and see nothing!

This isn’t your typical museum. Here, you can get up close and personal with over 100 wax figures of local and international movie stars, musicians, and even historical figures.

On top of The Peak, you’ll find a quirky-looking bowl-shaped building. Yes, it’s the famous Peak Tower, and it’s literally the main hub of all the action up there!
The tower’s Sky Terrace 428 is where most tourists flock. As the highest viewing platform in the city, it boasts a 360-degree panorama of Central’s skyscrapers and the sprawling greenery of the surrounding islands.

There aren’t many British and Indian fusion restaurants in Hong Kong, so if you’re craving something different, this spot is worth checking out.
Most of the meals offered here are good for sharing. Their aromatic Butter Chicken curry and flavorful club sandwiches are the crowd-pleasers.

The Peak Galleria is a big part of the “The Peak” experience. After a major overhaul, this all-glass facade and jewelry-looking shopping center offers more spots and stuff to see.
Shopaholics would have a field day exploring the 60 new stores inside. From top fashion retailers to unique souvenir shops and specialty foods, there are plenty of places to check out here.
Plus, if you just want to hang out with your friends, you can also visit Monopoly Dreams. It’s the world’s first-ever Monopoly-themed pavilion, and it features interactive games so you won’t get bored!
